Chicago Hotel Reviews for the Hotel Indigo Chicago
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Indigo! It is tucked away in a more residential area but still walking distance to Michigan Avenue and even Navy Pier for those willing to do a bit longer walk. The building is older but that adds to the charm, and it's very clean and updated. The rooms (and décor in general) are so cute, and the service was fabulous! Lissa at the front desk went the extra mile for us, looking up some information. The free Wi-Fi is a plus, too. They also had complimentary Keurig coffee and tea in the room. - BestPlacesintheUSA, Lincoln, IL
My husband and I visited Chicago to celebrate our 5th anniversary and stayed at this hotel. Hotel Indigo is in an excellent location. It's in a nice quiet area but within a 15-minute walk of shops, food, and some great bars! Staff was polite, service was great, and the room was smaller but decorated in soothing bright colors. We got a great deal on the room and they even let us check in early without any hassle. Parking was right next to the hotel for $39/ 24 hours, which isn't bad for Chicago, and the valet staff was fantastic! Only downside is that there is no pool, which would have been bit of a bummer for the kids, but there are plenty of kid-friendly activities to do in the area to keep them busy! - Rache2428, Ohio
What a terrific location and property. Was upgraded to a larger suite for a 5-night stay. View of Lake Michigan from the room. Easy walking distance to Michigan Ave., went on daily walks on the beach every morning when we stayed at the Indigo last summer - it's just a few blocks and easy walk. Bathrooms are small. Note this is a historic property and not a modern high-rise. - Quickblip, Chicago, Illinois
My teenage daughter and I wanted to visit the sites and do some shopping in Chicago. We have been wanting to try a Hotel Indigo because of the attractive decor. We had a room with double queen beds. The room was very clean and bright. We were on the 8th floor facing the front of the building, which provided a nice view towards the buildings on the lake. The room was not huge, but had everything we needed including a comfy chair and ottoman, desk and coffee machine. We did not visit the hotel restaurant, fitness area or spa. It was a short walk to Rush Street and a slightly longer walk to the Magnificent Mile. There is valet public parking right next to the hotel with in/out privileges, which was very convenient. This was a separate charge at a rate of $37/24 hours. There are drug stores, coffee shops and restaurants on the same block. The staff was very helpful with our questions. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a visit to Chicago.
